It is a most attractive beat with about one and a half miles of fishing, of which the top half is double bank. There are nine pools: Bar Stream, Bar, Willows, Kaimknowe, Scrogbank, Avenue, Birkie, Cootstone and Stump. It is all bank fishing or wading with few interfering trees, so casting should be reasonably easy for beginners. There is one ghillie provided to look after the four rods allowed to fish. He will meet you each morning, and advise you throughout the day. There is a hut provided and access to the beat is from the car park off the main road.
